Sena men attack Marathi news channel’s is holliganism. It shows that the Marathi manoos is also subjected to the diktats of a party that believes in the law of the jungle, where might is right. It is obvious that the two regional parties are struggling to keep ahead of each other by displaying their destructive, unethical and crude methods. Nobody can deny the fact that the majority of people, including the sons of the soil, speak Hindi and English apart from Marathi. If all other states in India were to head in the same direction, one could imagine the chaos that will reign in the days to come. This is a wake-up call for those who aim to see a united India.

It’s time the government woke up from its slumber and acted against lumpen elements who indulge in violence in the name of ‘Marathi manoos. Barely 10 days ago, MNS created a ruckus in the Maharashtra assembly by attacking an elected MLA for taking oath in Hindi. Now the Sena has indulged in hooliganism by ransacking and beating up staff of a television news channel in Mumbai and Pune. Are we living under the rule of the law or the rule of the jungle? India would be better off without these lumpen elements who render themselves as misfits in any civilised society
